Delegation reaches New York with energy, debt and mining discussions planned
Venezuelan interim President Delcy Rodríguez arrived in the New York area with a delegation planning discussions with US counterparts on energy, debt and mining. Reuters attributed the agenda to two sources close to the preparations. Rodríguez is scheduled to meet President Donald Trump on Tuesday, but no resulting agreements have been announced. Separately, the Inter-American Development Bank said it is drafting a two-year Venezuela engagement plan focused partly on electricity and social protection. Goldfajn did not say how roughly $2 billion in outstanding Venezuelan loans would be addressed or when financing might resume.
