Disconnected electricity accounts fall from 370,000 to 270,000

Volyn’s disconnected electricity accounts fell to 270,000 by 10:45 a.m. local time on October 16, from 370,000 at 8 a.m., regional governor Roman Romaniuk said, Interfax-Ukraine reported. That represents 100,000 fewer disconnected accounts, approximately 27%; these subscriber figures do not count individual residents. Restoration work continued. Romaniuk also reported one person killed and eight injured in Volyn following Russian attacks. Reuters reported at least three deaths across Ukraine, including two in Kharkiv, where officials had revised an earlier toll of three. The casualty figures remain attributed to Ukrainian officials.
