Official count covers 21 provinces as Bangkok drainage remains constrained
Thailand’s disaster agency counted 84,605 people affected by ongoing flooding across 21 provinces as of 7 a.m. Saturday, while Bangkok had standing water at 44 traffic locations. The government said water was generally receding, although levels were rising in Suphan Buri, Chachoengsao and Sa Kaeo. In Bangkok, more than 150 millimetres of rain had filled eastern canals beyond drainage capacity, prompting disaster declarations Friday in three districts covering 13 subdistricts.
