Three governments prepare consultations under their joint defence pact
Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan are arranging an urgent meeting of their military chiefs to discuss support for the kingdom following Houthi attacks, Reuters reported, citing the Saudi Foreign Ministry. Their foreign ministers discussed the preparations under the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement, which treats an attack on one party as an attack on all three. Saudi authorities said they intercepted six Houthi ballistic missiles Thursday. The meeting announcement does not establish that forces will be deployed.
