Strikes hit Kunar and Paktika before dawn
Afghan officials reported that Pakistani aircraft struck Kunar and Paktika provinces before dawn on September 21. Kunar authorities said a residential building was hit at about 3 a.m. local time, killing three civilians; a Taliban spokesman reported four others wounded. Paktika officials reported that strikes around 4 a.m. damaged a shop and an unoccupied house, with no casualties immediately recorded there. Pakistan’s authorities had not publicly commented in the retrieved reporting, and the Afghan casualty account has not been independently verified. Amu TV described these as the first publicly reported Pakistani airstrikes inside Afghanistan in nearly three months.
