Whole-crew evacuation reported; Vanguard identifies ST3
A tanker’s entire crew had been evacuated and was safe following an October 16 projectile strike, UKMTO reported on October 17. ERT, citing ANA-MPA, reported that maritime security firm Vanguard identified the vessel as ST3. UKMTO placed the incident 68 nautical miles northeast of Saudi Arabia’s Jubail and said no environmental impact had been reported. India’s shipping minister had earlier identified MT ST 3 and confirmed that its 15 Indian crew members were uninjured, but placed the strike in the Strait of Hormuz, according to The National.
