South Korean shipments rise as Europe seeks replacement supplies

Energy Aspects projects that Europe will face a jet-fuel deficit of 510,000 barrels a day in the fourth quarter as disrupted Middle Eastern supplies prompt buyers to seek more distant sources. This is an analyst estimate, not a confirmed shortage. Kpler put European imports from South Korea so far in September at 129,000 barrels a day, the highest rate since October 2022; LSEG data showed similar volumes. Independently held stocks at the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp hub also reached a seven-year low in the week through September 10.
