CXMT announces mass production of a denser DRAM process
Chinese memory-chip maker CXMT said its fifth-generation manufacturing platform has entered mass production. The company said the process reduces key feature spacing to 11.95 nanometres and can produce at least 50% more gross dies per wafer than its fourth-generation platform, before defective units are excluded. CXMT also introduced two 24-gigabit LPDDR5X products that it says provide 50% more capacity than its previous equivalents. These technical and production claims have not been independently verified.
