Beijing regulator opens investigations into four booking-platform operators
China’s Beijing market regulator opened investigations into Meituan unit Beijing Sankuai, Alibaba unit Hangzhou Taomei, Tongcheng Network Technology and Tujia Online Information Technology over suspected violations involving online travel and hotel booking. The action followed preliminary regulatory findings, but no violations have been established. The companies said they were cooperating, while Tongcheng and Tujia said operations remained normal.
