Subscribers file proposed antitrust class action against four AI companies
Four paid AI subscribers filed a proposed class action against Anthropic, OpenAI, SpaceXAI and Google on September 18. The complaint alleges that the companies coordinated to slow improvements to competing AI services, reducing the value of paid subscriptions in violation of federal antitrust law. It seeks class certification, damages and limits on coordinated development restrictions while excluding independent safety measures. The allegations have not been established in court, and the defendants had not responded by Bloomberg Law’s publication time.
